Napa, Sonoma, and Mendocino
Wine Country Fires
It has been a very difficult time for the people of northern California’s Napa, Sonoma, and Mendocino county wine region. At this time, we are unaware of how many fortified wine producer facilities and vineyards are among the 6,000 structures lost in the 150,000 plus acre fires that literally surrounded the towns of Napa, Sonoma, Glen Ellen, Geyserville, St. Helena, Healdsburg, and Kenwood. Similarly, as yet we have no direct information on the number of fortified wine producer families and staff have been displaced by these disastrous fires. The Sweet and Fortified Wine Association is concerned not only for our fortified wine producer friends and colleagues but for all the people in the beloved north coast wine region. These fires have indiscriminately affected almost everyone in the region and recovery will be long and arduous. If you would like to help with a fire disaster relief contribution, here are some of the organizations that will thankful accept your donations.
